AP seizes 62 red sander logs worth Rs 50 lakh, 2 held

Kadapa, Nov 6 (UNI) The police and forest officials seized 62 red sander logs worth over Rs 50 lakh from Nageswarakona village in Khajipet mandal of the district.
Task Force SI Ali Basha told the media that the police teams, after getting a tip-off, conducted a raid on the village in Lankamala forest area on Tuesday.
They spotted as many as 30 woodcutters in the forest. On seeing police, they fled the scene. However, police chased and arrested two of them, who belong to Tamil Nadu.
