Vijayawada, Jan 23 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar here on Saturday issued notification to conduct elections to the Gram Panchayats in four phases beginning on February 5.
The SEC, at a press conference today, released the notification for the Gram Panchayat polls and appealed to the State government to extend needed support to conduct the elections.
According to the notification, the elections for Gram Panchayats would be held in four phases on February 5, 9, 13 and 17 and the voting would be held from 0630 hrs to 1530 hrs. The counting of votes would be taken up from 1600 hrs on the same day.
