Vijayawada, Aug 19 (UNI) The massive surge of Coronavirus cases continues in Andhra Pradesh as 9,742 new cases have been reported and 86 more patients died in a period of 24 hours.
The total positive cases have risen to 3,16,003 while the death toll has risen to 2,906. A health bulletin here on Wednesday said that out of the 2,906 deaths, large number of patients died in Kurnool district (308), Guntur district (313), EG district (295), Chittoor (272), Anantapur district (246), Krishna district (135), Visakhapatnam district (221) and WG district (213).
So far 2,26,372 patients have been discharged while 86,725 were undergoing treatment at various hospitals. Out of the 3,16,003 positive cases, large number of cases registered in East Godavari district (43,999), Kurnool district (35,576), Guntur district (28,365), Visakhapatnam district (27,090) and West Godavari district (26,030).
