Vijayawada, Sep 29 (UNI) Continuing its downtrend of reporting positive cases, 6,190 positive cases of Coronavirus reported in Andhra Pradesh taking the tally to 6,87,351 while 35 patients died in a period of 24 hours taking the death toll to 5,780.
A health bulletin here on Tuesday said that 68,429 swab samples were tested in a period of 24 hours of which 6,190 were tested positive for Coronavirus. With the death of 35 patients, the pandemic has claimed 5,780 lives of patients so far. Large number of patients have died in Chittoor district (647), Guntur district (527), and East Godavari district (519) and Anantapur district (483).
There are 59,435 active cases while 6,22,136 patients have been discharged as they recovered. East Godavari district has stood top in reporting highest number of 96,191 cases while 60,933 positive cases reported in Chittoor district, 56,795 positive cases reported in Anantapur, 54,192 positive cases reported in Guntur district and 66,243 positive cases reported in West Godavari district.
