AP: People’s organizations go on Hunger strike seeking implementation of prohibition

Kakinada, Oct 2(UNI) Members of various peoples organizations have commenced hunger strike in front of the Collectorate here on Wednesday to mark Gandhi Jayanthi demanding the government to free the people from alcoholism by implementing total prohibition.
They raised slogans demanding the government to regulate the publicity on sale of liquor and spend ten percent of the liquor sales income on publicity in favor of liquor prohibition.
The speakers who addressed the hunger strikers have called upon the people to take up intensive campaign moving door to door in favor of total prohibition .
