AP: IIT Professor Dr. Tata Narasinga Rao appointed SVU Vice Chancellor

Tirupati, Oct 9 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government today appointed eminent scientist Dr. Tata Narasinga Rao as the new Vice Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati.
Dr. Rao is a highly accomplished scientist who previously received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University in 1994. After working as a Research Associate at IIT Madras, he served as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow and subsequently became a lecturer at The University of Tokyo in 2001. He later joined the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad.
His notable academic contributions include publishing more than 190 research papers and being granted/filing over 20 International and Indian patents, several of which have been translated into technology developments. His publications have garnered a total of more than 16,000 citations, achieving an h-index of 51.
