Vijayawada, Sep 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and other political party leaders expressed shock and grief over the death of legendary playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam who passed away in MGM Healthcare in Chennai this afternoon.
In a statement here, Mr Harichandan expressed sadness at the death of Balasubrahmanyam after undergoing prolonged treatment in the hospital.
The Governor said that S.P. Balasubrahmanyam is a household name, not only in the Telugu states but the entire country, as an iconic playback singer in 16 languages, predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
