Vijayawada, Oct 18 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan paid rich tributes to late Sarat Kumar Kar, who served as a Member in 6th Lok Sabha, three time MLA and former Speaker of Odisha Legislative Assembly, by participating in an online memorial programme held through video link from Raj Bhavan, on Sunday.
The Governor offered floral tributes to the portrait of Sarat Kumar Kar and released a memorial souvenir brought out on the life and times of late Sarat Kumar Kar.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Harichandan said as Speaker of Odisha Assembly Sarat Kumar Kar had given a number of important rulings by coordinating between the ruling party and the opposition parties. The Governor said Sarat Kumar Kar contributed a lot for development of Odia culture and literature.
