AP economy in doldrums due to govt’s negligence: Ramakrishnudu

Vijayawada, Sep 19 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party senior leader and former Finance minister of Andhra Pradesh Yanamala Ramakrishnudu regretted that the total negligence in tackling the Covid epidemic, development and infrastructure projects had pushed Andhra Pradesh into complete doldrums and chaos.
Mr. Ramakrishnudu expressed concern that there was a double digit decline in the State's growth under the Jagan Mohan Reddy’s regime while AP recorded double digit growth during the TDP regime.
In a statement here on Saturday, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council said the SBI estimates had put AP's growth decline in both GSDP at over 24 percent which was indeed alarming. Because of this, there was a fall of Rs.2.35 lakh crore. There is now another danger of a decline of over Rs.7.19 lakh crore in GSDP for the present 2020-`21 financial year. Going by this, there would be a reduction of over 73 per cent in the State's total output.
