AP: East Godavari records 1351 COVID cases

Kakinada, Aug 6 (UNI) East Godavari continues to record the highest number of Covid cases and on Thursday alone as many as 1351 tested positive causing concern among the district officials.
Kakinada and Rajahmundry cities have recorded the highest positives of 326 and 301 cases respectively. Among the mandals Amalapuram tops with 85 cases, Tuni comes next with 64 cases and Karapa with 52 cases.
Of the remaining mandals Kakinada rural recorded 49 cases, Prathipadu 32, Pithapuram 31, Mandapet 27 cases, Atreyapuram 26, Anaparty 25, Rajahmundry, Kothapet and Ravulapalem 24 cases each, Ramachandrapuram and Kirlampudi 22 cases each.

Karnataka HC stays Women's Commission notice to Kumaraswamy

The notice was related to a comment made by Kumaraswamy suggesting that women were 'losing their way' due to election promises made by the Congress party.

'Jihadi activities' growing in Karnataka : Jagadish Shettar

He attributed this rise to the appeasement policies of the Congress government, alleging a collapse of law and order in the state.
