AP continues support to flood-ravaged Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 19 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Government continues its support to the flood-ravaged state with another Rs 2.16 crore contribution to the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF) to help the flood victims.
The cheques for the contributions collected from various educational institutions and organizations along with a letter from the Andhra Pradesh government was sent to the Principal Secretary (Finance), Kerala, official sources said here on Wednesday.
Earlier, the neighbouring state had contributed Rs 51.018 crore as financial assistance to the CMDRF. This included a cheque of Rs 35 crore to CMDRF which is handed over by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N Chinna Rajappa who had visited the state last week.
