AP CM directs APS RTC to take extra precaution, avert accidents

Amaravati, Sep 12 (UNI) In the wake of TS RTC bus accident at Kondagutta in Telangana, in which 58 passengers were killed, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the APS RTC top officials to take extra precaution, to avert such accidents.
The Chief Minister directed APS RTC Managing Director N V Surendra Babu, Chairman Varla Ramaiah and Transport department Principal Secretary Nirab Kumar Prasad to identify accident prone areas and take corrective measures.
He directed them to ensure that the maintenance of RTC buses would be good, while asking them to erect sign boards, where accidents had taken place previously.
Mr Naidu further ordered them to sensitise the RTC bus drivers on prevention of road accidents. Awareness should be created among the general public on road accidents.
