Vijayawada, Jun 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday instructed the officials to maintain the student-teacher ratio, affect the transfers accordingly and said that schools should be spruced up before the reopening on August 3.
During a review meeting on Nadu Nedu held here, the officials placed the data before the Chief Minister about the proposed relocation of teachers to match the teacher-student ratio. The Chief Minister said that the transfers should be done online and should be oriented towards the benefit of the students.
He said that due to the method followed in 2017, single teachers were allotted to 7,991 schools and most of the schools have been closed down. The decisions at that time were taken only to demoralise government schools and to encourage private schools.
