AP Cabinet decides to provide 50pc reservations to SC/ST BCs in nominated contracts

Amaravati, July 19 (UNI) The Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh government on Friday took another major decision to provide 50 per cent reservations to BC, SC, ST and Minority classes in government nominated contracts, service contracts and Nominated Posts.
The AP Cabinet chaired by CM Y S Reddy met here.
The Cabinet approved to provide 50 pc reservations to BC, SC, ST and Minority classes in the Government Corporations, Boards, Societies, Trusts and Market Yards.
The government also decided to provide 50 per cent Reservations to Women in Nominated Posts, 50pc Reservations to BC, SC and ST classes in Temple committees.
The Cabinet also approved draft bill of Judicial commission.
The other important decision the Cabinet taken are, tenders to be examined in the presence of High Court Judge or Retired Judge, Tenders worth more than Rs100 crore in Infrastructure projects would be examined by High Court Judge or High Court Retired Judge.
Every department should submit their proposals to the Judge. Tenders to be kept in Open Domain for 7 days for the review of people and experts.
Judge to review the tenders for 8 days after that.
The Total tender process to be completed in 15 days.
The Cabinet also approved new Government scheme called "YSR Navodhayam". The government identified 86,000 MSME accounts which are in financial crisis and approved to one time restructure of worth Rs 4000 crore loan amounts.
Companies are given 9 months time period to use this scheme. The Cabinet also approved Andhra Pradesh Investment Promotion and Monitoring Act-2019 draft ill. The Chief Minister to be chairman of the Board and Board consists of 7 directors.
