AP Cabinet approves various important bills

Amaravati, July 18 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, which met here on Thursday, chaired by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, approved various important bills pertaining to the welfare programmes.
The Cabinet gave its nod to prepare a bill to initiate steps in the first phase to implement a complete ban on alcohol. This would also include the government to take over the operations of liquor shops across the state.
The Cabinet agreed to hike the salaries of Anganwadi Workers to Rs.11,500 and Rs.7,000 to Anganwadi helpers. The Cabinet approved to initiate process for the setting up of the the Village Secretariats and Village Volunteers system.
