AP: British diplomats appreciate steps taken to check COVID-19

Vijayawada, Aug 7 (UNI) British diplomats on Friday lauded the steps being taken by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy Government in public health and the effective manner in which tests and tracing were being conducted for containing COVID and invited the Chief Minister to Britain after normalcy returns.
During a video conference with the Chief Minister here, the acting British High Commissioner Jan Thompson and Deputy High Commissioner for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Andrew Fleming appreciated the initiatives of the State Government in public health.
The state has been doing very well by conducting a high number of tests and identifying the positive cases while keeping the mortality rate low. New initiatives like telemedicine were being implemented and the state was taking effective measures in health, education and medical fields, they lauded.
