Lucknow, Sep 24 (UNI) Union Home minister Rajnath Singh has said that more time is required on the issue of Article 370 of the Constitution and refused to admit that India has gone more closer to US in comparison to Russia.
Interacting with students of Jaipuria School of Management here on Monday also said that the Centre or the BJP has no personal enmity with Congress President Rahul Gandhi." Rahul is our political opponent and our statement against him should be looked in the political scenario. We have no personal grudges against him," he clarified,
Mr Singh further clarified that the foreign policy of the country promotes friendship with every country and there should not be any feeling that we are closer to a country and drifting apart from some other countries. He was replying on India's closeness to USA but going away from Russia.
When a girl student asked about the government's commitment to remove Article 370 of the Constitution, the Union home minister made it clear that he cannot comment on such a sensitive matter and people should have to wait. " There are some issues which take time and it is one of them. Kashmir is the integral part of India and will remain the same. No one can snatch it from us," he added.
When another student asked about the use of religion in politics, Mr Singh said that the image of the politicians have deteriorated a lot among the people and the politicians are responsible for it.
" I have tried to remain honest before my voter and had never promised anything to them while seeking vote" he said.
Saying that politics should not be on the basis of religion , he said that the politics should be done not to make a government but to make the country.
