Anti-chitta campaign becomes public movement, Una district becomes launch pad

Una, Dec 22 (UNI) Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu, the anti-chitta campaign being carried out across the state to realize the goal of a drug-free Himachal has now taken the form of a massive mass movement. Chitta is a refined narcotic substance and itc consumption is neighbouring states has reached alarming levels. It gets its name from its powdery white colour.
The campaign in Una district is progressing effectively in mission mode with the active participation of administration, police and society, the officials say.
The direct focus of the campaign is to save the youth from the grip of deadly drugs like chita. For this, public awareness, strict enforcement and continuous monitoring, all three are being emphasized equally. Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal says that the clear goal of Chief Minister Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu is to create a drug-free Himachal and Una district is moving in that direction with full commitment.
