Anti-CAA protest: NESO to observe ‘black day’ tomorrow across N-E states

Shillong, Dec 10 (UNI) The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO), an apex student's body of all the indigenous communities in the region, will observe ‘Back Day’ tomorrow in all the important places of all the seven states to protest against the passage of Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
“The protest is meant to send out a message to the government of India that we are against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 and also at the same time to remind our people of yet another political injustice that the government of India perpetrated against the indigenous peoples of the North East,” NESO Chairman Samuel B Jyrwa said.
The NESO called upon all people of the North East to support it and at the same time to “keep on fighting for the just cause which is our God given right.”
