In a letter to Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI, the Lt Governor today said the UT Administration is committed to promoting holistic, inclusive and ecologically sustainable development of the Islands. The Islands short listed have the potential to be comprehensively developed with special focus on tourism, which is the only sector of the Island economy registering a steady growth and has become critical for promoting and sustaining livelihood of the islanders.
