Andaman faces challenge in retrieving body of American National from Tribal Island

Port Blair, Nov 21 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Administration is taking all possible precautions to retrieve the body of AmericanNational John Allen Chau ( 27), who was killed by Tribes of Sentinelese Community at North Sentinel Island.
However, remoteness and hostility of the tribes in North Sentinel Island is posing serious challenge in retrieving the body.
John Allen Chau, a resident of Alabaman, USA, had gone to North Sentinel Island with five local fisherman on November 14 night tointeract with Sentinelese tribes and preach Christianity, where he was killed either on November 16 night or November 17 early morning by thehostile tribes of North Sentinel Islands. His body was spotted by fishermen who carried John to the Island, on November 17, 2018 morning.

Itanagar, Sep 29 (UNI) While pointing out that the Vibrant Villages Programme aims to provide all basic facilities at the ‘first’ village near the border, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik on Friday said that a collaborative effort must be adopted involving the State administration, Armed Forces and the villagers to make the border villages “vibrant”.
The Governor said this during his visit to the remote border village of Taksing in Upper Subansiri district which has been selected under the Vibrant Villages Programme (VVP) on a pilot basis.
