Anant Singh sent to jail after production before court

Patna, Aug 25 (UNI) Independent MLA from Mokama Anant Singh after his surrender
before Saket court in New Delhi in connection with recovery of A K 47 rifle and two
hand grenades from his ancestral house was produced before additional chief
judicial magistrate P K Tiwari of Barh who remanded him to Beur Model Central
Jail in the state capital by taking him into judicial custody today.
Earlier, Mr Singh who was flown to Jai Prakash Narain International Airport in Patna
from New Delhi was taken straight to Barh amid elaborate security arrangement for
his production before the court.
Since it was a non-working day for the court on account of being Sunday today,
MLA Mr Singh was produced before the court of additional chief judicial magistrate
(In charge) of Barh P K Tiwari who remanded him to judicial custody till August 30
and sent him to Beur Model Central Jail.
Later, police amid tight security arrangement left for Beur Jail under the leadership
of police superintendent (rural) K K Mishra and additional police superintendent Lipi
Singh.
As it is, police had recovered one A K 47 rifle and two hand grenades from MLA
Anant Singh`s ancestral house at Ladma village under Barh sub divisional area in
Patna district on August 16.
The MLA had surrendered before Saket court in New Delhi on August 23.
