New Delhi, Dec 10 (UNI) Congress today charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi with failure "to bring back the black money stashed abroad" and flayed him for justifying the 'reckless' decision on the demonetisation drive. "He (Modi) has failed to bring back the black money stashed abroad. He has now done this to the Indian economy and remains in denial. He continues to justify the reckless decision taken and the disastrous mismanagement as we have seen, has contributed to the pain of the people," senior party leader Anand Sharma told reporters here. "People are not getting access to their own money. No government in the world has denied its citizens guarantee of accessing their own bank accounts, which this government has done". "History will remember him for the damage he (Modi) has caused," said Mr Sharma, who is also deputy leader of Congress in the Rajya Sabha. Alleging that Modi government has "unleashed financial anarchy" in the country, the former Union Commerce Minister said, "India's image globally has been spurred by Mr Modi as Prime Minister, by giving an impression that the currency in circulation was black money". "He should apologise for this," the Congress leader added. UNI DEVN RJ 1914
