Amit Shah, Rajnath, Nirmala, Goyal condole Sheila's demise

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) BJP president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Railways and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj condoled the demise of three-time Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday.
Expressing his deep condolences to the grieving relatives and well-wishers on micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Shah wrote, 'In this hour of grief, May God give power to her family and peace to the departed soul.'
'Sorry to know that former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit is no more. Condolences to her family, friends and followers,' Ms Sitharaman said in her tweet.

Mr Rajnath Singh wrote ,'The passing away of former Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt Sheila Dikshit is deeply saddening. She was a tall Congress leader known for her congenial nature.
'Sheilaji was widely respected cutting across party lines. My thoughts are with her bereaved family & supporters. Om Shanti!'
Mr Goyal praised the commendable work done by Dikshit for development of Delhi, and prayed that God give her soul salvation.
Expressing his sorrow, Mr Gadkari said her contribution to Delhi's development will always be remembered.
Women and Child Welfare Minister Smriti Z Irani wrote, 'Deeply saddened by the demise of former Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dikshit ji. My heartfelt condolences to her family and supporters. Om Shanti'
Former EAM Ms Swaraj wrote,'I am sorry to know about the sudden demise of Sheila Dixit ji. We were opponents in politics but friends in personal life. She was a fine human being.'
President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Dr Manmohan Singh and Priyanka Gandhi also expressed their grief over the passing away of their party veteran.
