Agartala, Feb 8 (UNI) BJP national president Amit Shah has interacted with leaders
of the party in Tripura last evening over video conferencing regarding preparation of
Loksabha election and directed the leaders to reach out at the doorstep of each family
with the schemes and program launched by Prime Minister.
All state level leaders including Chief Minister and party state unit president Biplab
Kumar Deb along with his cabinet colleagues were attended the discussion at party
office. Besides, Tripura and northeastern states, Shah has also spoken to the leaders
of other states from the same platform and reviewed the preparation of election, party
sources said.
He has also instructed the leaders about the party programs including the scheduled
rallies of the central leaders as well as the preparation of holding such activities,
leaders said and added, “The programs will be held across the country together and
Shah wants these to be equally successful in Tripura and northeast like other states.”
Though there was no direct instruction related to poll preparation and election activities,
Shah stressed on the need of accelerating the regular party activities at booth level with
the recently announced programs of BJP.
He has further emphasized on the need of communication with the page observers at
booth levels.
Shah however, directed the leaders to formulate strategies to take all 134 development
schemes including 33 community level development programs to each of the families by
next few weeks based on the effective methods at local level. The state leaders were
asked to perform target oriented works on daily basis and activate the same at booth level.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb was advised to finish separate meetings with the
district level leaders as soon as possible and to issue necessary direction for the down
level leaders and workers in advance so that BJP’s campaign can reach to individual
leaders, party insiders said.
He has also taken the stock of preparation of scheduled visit of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi in Tripura on February 9.
Modi is scheduled to arrive at airport around 1520 hours and immediately after
reaching he will unveil the statue of last king of Tripura Maharaj Bir Bikram Kishor
Manikya Debbarman there.
Then he is scheduled to unveil the new block at Tripura Institute of Technology
and to dedicate 23 kilometres long new railway line connecting Garji to Belonia in
South Tripura district from Vivekananda stadium before addressing the gathering.
