AMHSSC, AIKS to train 1000 Kashmiri Pandit women for skill training

New Delhi, Jul 20 (UNI) Aiming to impart skill training and enhance the economic conditions of the Kashmiri Pandit women staying in Jammu camps, the AMHSSC today said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with an NGO AIKS to train 1000 women.
"MoU envisages training and certification of 1,000 women of families of Kashmiri Pandits staying in camps in Jammu under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY),” Apparel, Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) said in a statement.
The MoU was signed between M K Pajan, General Secretary of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) and Roopak Vasishtha, CEO, of the council.
Mr Roopak said, “Efforts would also be made to make clusters of such trained and certified women and connected to the industry.”
He said, "Those who wish to start their own business would be helped by arranging loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna from various banks.''
AMHSSC has been formulated by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and NSDC to develop skills repository for apparel value chain.
