Amazon launches ambulance service for delivery associates

New Delhi, Oct 7 (UNI) Online retail major Amazon India on Monday launched ambulance services for delivery associates in partnership with Dial 4242.
The ambulance service is designed to enhance the safety and well-being of delivery associates while they are on the road. The service addresses the need for immediate medical response during emergencies, ensuring timely assistance during the first few critical hours following an on-road accident, and will be available across Dial 4242’s network.
"Amazon's frontline delivery workforce is the key part of our operations. Their safety and well-being will always remain our unwavering priority. Launching dedicated ambulance services in collaboration with Dial 4242 is a vital step towards providing immediate medical access during emergencies," said Karuna Shankar Pande, Vice President, Amazon Logistics.
Added Jeetendra Lalwani, Co-founder of Dial 4242, " We are thrilled to partner with Amazon India to provide our swift and reliable ambulance services to delivery associates across India. This collaboration underscores our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the delivery workforce by offering timely medical assistance."
