Srinagar, Jul 18 (UNI) A pilgrim died of cardiac arrest during the pilgrimage to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, taking the toll to 28 since the commencement of the 60-day-long pilgrimage since June 28.
Official sources told UNI on Tuesday that a 45-year-old pilgrim, identified as Arun Thapa, resident of New Delhi, suffered cardiac arrest at Baltal base camp on July 5.
He was rushed medical camp, from where he was referred to S K Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS),Srinagar. However, he breathed his last in the hospital on Wednesday morning.
