Amarinder betrayed interests of Punjab's claim on Chandigarh: Bhagwant Mann

Chandigarh, Dec 7 (UNI) Reacting sharply to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh's statement on Punjab's claim on Chandigarh publicly, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday said that by making such a statement, Captain had deprived the people of Punjab of their legitimate right, saying the people would never forgive the Chief Minister on this historic betrayal.
In a statement here, president of Punjab unit of AAP and MP Bhagwant Mann said the Badals had exploited the people in the name of Punjab, Punjabiat and the 'panth', saying that on the issue of Chandigarh as the capital of Punjab, transfer of Punjabi-speaking area and Punjab's water share had been thrown as a bait, only to garner vote and support, to hop on to the power centre stage.
He said the people had never expected this from Captain Singh, who had emerged as the biggest opportunist of his times.
