Amala Akkineni promotes veganism

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Ms Amala Akkineni, actor by profession and chairperson of the Blue Cross of Hyderabad, has taken to social media in support of a campaign launched by the Federation of Indian Animal protection Organisations (FIAPO) to promote veganism in the country.
Ms Amala, a long time vegan, animal rights activist is urging her fans and animals lovers to take the 21-Day Compassion Challenge.
Coming from a family of non-vegans, she shares that her family observes vegans days every week. In essence, taking the challenge to go vegan for 21 days, a vegetarian would help reduce the suffering of at-least one animal and non-vegetarians would save the life of many more, a statement here said on Monday.
