Shillong, May 20 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Wednesday said that the government will make all efforts to ensure that development of various infrastructures for the National Games 2022 will be allotted within 45 days’ time.
Meghalaya will be the third northeastern state, after Manipur (1999) and Assam (2007), to host the National Games. The national event will coincide with the 50th year of the creation of Meghalaya.
“We are going to ensure that the various infrastructural projects for the National Games will be completed within the stipulated time period. All the necessary formalities for National Games 2022 will hopefully finish within a month’s time. The work will be allotted in a month’s or 45 days’ time,” he said.
