Allegations by Smriti attempt to divert attention, purchase of land by Rahul out of his own funds: Cong

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) Terming allegations levelled by Union Minister Smriti Irani that a piece of land purchased and owned by Congress president Rahul Gandhi in Haryana was funded by arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari as an attempt by the BJP to divert attention from real issues, the party on Wednesday said the purchase of the land was done by Mr Gandhi out of his own funds paid from his bank account.

Reacting to Ms Irani’s allegations, AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala , in a statement here, termed them as a ‘figment of Mr Modi’s imagination’.
