Allahabad High Court penalizes Secretary of Secondary Education Council

Prayagraj, Dec 22 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court on Tuesday imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the Secretary of the Secondary Education Council, Prayagraj for giving average marks to a student by showing her absent in the High School examinations and causing unnecessary harassment to her.
The court also directed that a new mark sheet with 82 marks, discovered after the copy was checked, be issued to the petitioner. The order was given by Justice JJ Munir on the petition of Priyanka, a high school student.
It is to be noted that the petitioner had given the High School, 2020 examination. Considering her to be absent, she was given an average of 26 marks in the subject of Sociology while in other subjects she received marks as per the quality.
