Allahabad HC rejects petition demanding CBI probe into Mathura violence

Lucknow, Jun 13 (UNI) Giving respite to the Akhilesh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court today rejected a petition, demanding CBI probe into the Mathura violence.
A division bench of the court comprising Justice S N Shukla and Sujeet Kumar rejected the petition filed by one Indrapal Singh, last week.
The bench heard the lawyers of both the sides for about 90 minutes and thereafter rejected the plea urging to quash the setting up of a judicial probe and order for a CBI investigation instead.
