All projects will be completed to provide water to Rayalaseema: AP CM

Ananthapur Jan 11 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that the government is committed to complete all the irrigation project in the Rayalaseema region to do away water crisis and develop Smart Water Grid to tackle water crisis.
Addressing a public meeting of Janmabhoomi-Ma Vooru in Dharmavaram on Thursday, he said that Telugu Ganga, Galeru, Nagiri projects were started by late N T Rama Rao. He was happy to announce that he completed the project. The government aimed to interlink Godavari-Krishna-Vamshadara-Penna-Nagavali rivers in the coming years to tackle the water crisis, he announced, claiming that he had taken steps to fill up all the irrigation tanks which were dug up during the time of Sri Krishnadevaraya rule.
“We constructed Pattiseema project with an aim of providing water to Rayalaseema. A smart water grid will be developed to tackle future water needs. The government has taken steps to develop Rayalseema as horticulture hub” he said, highlighting that the government is encouraging natural farming the state. By providing water to the Gollapalli reservoir, the establishment of Rs.12,000 crore Kia car factory was metealized in the district, he said, adding that the district would witness rapid industrial development in the coming years. The Chief Minister announced that the Handri Neeva and PABR canals would be widened.
