All possible efforts will be made to rescue Tiwari couple from pirates: Bhupesh Baghel

Raipur, 06 Dec (UNI) Chhattisgarh Government on Friday said that it would take every possible step to rescue Tiwari couple from the clutches of pirates. The Tiwari couple from Raipur is among 19 people who have been kidnapped by pirates near Bonny Offshore Terminal of Nigeria.
Talking to the reporters here, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that state government was making
all possible efforts to safely free Tiwari couple from clutches of pirates.
"State government officials are in constant touch with Ministry of External Affairs and embassy concerned, Mr Baghel said, added that he had talked to the family members of Vijay Tiwari, who has been abducted by pirates, and assured them all possible support.
Family members of the victims said that they received information about the incident two days
ago through Mumbai-based company.
Pirates held 19 persons, including Tiwari couple, hostage but they released the ship. Bhanpuri Raipur resident Vijay Tiwari is Chief Mechanical Engineer of the ship.
