All Party Demand for CBI Probe into land scam in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Jun 26 (UNI) A demonstration was organised here today in the city by various political parties demanding an inquiry into the irregularities in Visakhapatnm Urban Development Authority (VUDA) land pooling and Land Scam in the district by CBI or a sitting judge.
The leaders who were assembled in front of the Gandhi statue opposite the GVMC main office, took exception to the Government delaying action on those who grabbed thousands of acres of land in rural Visakhapatnam and diluting the issue in the name of SIT inquiry. It was surprising that no action was taken on Parachuri Bhaskara Rao, brother of State HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, though he grabbed five acres of Government land to develop a layout and was selling it in the form of house-sites, they said.
The leaders also alleged that lands valued nearly hundreds of crores of rupees were being encroached upon in Madhuravada area, but still the Government did not seem bothered. They demanded that the lands belonging to the poor should be returned to them.
