Ali Fazal is excited with the appreciation his role of SI Jai Prakash in 'Raakh' is receiving

Mumbai, July 15 (UNI) Bollywood actor Ali Fazal has said that throughout his career, he has preferred to choose diverse roles and different kinds of stories rather than being limited to one popular character and has always allowed his work to become his identity.
Fazal is getting rave reviews from the audience and critics for his role of SI Jai Prakash in the recently released film "Raakh". The audience believes that the character of Jai Prakash is completely different from his famous character, Guddu Pandit.
On the response to the film, the 39-year-old actor said, "For a long time, I was made to feel in various ways that I didn't fit the mold. Sometimes my film choices were questioned, sometimes my personality, and sometimes because I wasn't following the formula that people considered the path to success. Over time, I realised that every artist has their own unique journey. My journey has always been about choosing stories I believed in and moving forward with the belief that my work would one day reach its audience."
Ali said he never saw his career as a struggle against anyone, but rather quietly pursued his work. From independent cinema and international productions to commercial films and long-format storytelling, he said each project has helped him evolve as an actor.
Talking about his character, Jai Prakash, Fazal said he's from a completely different world. "He's extremely alert, patient, and handles his responsibilities differently. It's heartening to see people talking about him and connecting with him. It makes me feel that today's audience is more open to different kinds of heroes and acting."
Ali said he didn't want his entire career to be limited to one successful role. He said the appreciation for both roles has encouraged him to continue exploring diverse genres and experimenting with new characters. UNI NST CDS
