Alert troops foil infiltration bid, 2 militants killed at LoC in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Jul 11 (UNI) Alert troops foiled an infiltration bid when they killed two militants at the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, a defence ministry Spokesperson said on Saturday.

Col Rajesh Kalia said that troops guarding the LoC noticed some suspicious movement at Naugam sector in Baramulla and acting swiftly the troops launched an ambush killing two militants.

Two AK rifles and other war like stores were recovered from them, Col Kalia further said adding further details were awaited.

Amritsar, Aug 13 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Thursday condemned the Congress government for not providing medical care to those who were permanently disabled by the hooch tragedy even as it demanded that they be given a compensation of Rs 20 lakh besides calling for registration of a culpable homicide case against all those responsible for their disability.
