New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) The Congress on Sunday appointed Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco as working president of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.
'Congress president (Sonia Gandhi) has approved the proposal of the appointment of working president and treasurer of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, as follows, with immediate effect -- Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco as working president and James Andrade as treasurer,' All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary KC Venugopal said in a statement.
Goa will go for assembly elections early next year.
