Aligarh/Kanpur/Mainpuri, Nov 9 (UNI) In a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP)) President Akhilesh Yadav during an election rally in Karhal on Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that 'Babua' has not yet become an adult.
He alleged that attempts are being made to turn Kashmir back into a hub for terrorism.
The CM held three rallies on the second day of his Uttar Pradesh Assembly by-election campaign. During this, he criticised the leadership, policies and leaders of the SP and said while "SP's cap is red, its deeds are dark".
He also urged people to vote for Surendra Diler from Khair, Suresh Awasthi from Sisamau and Anuj Yadav from Karhal.
Yogi said Akhilesh's actions go against the values of his father and SP founder, Mulayam Singh Yadav. He said Akhilesh's SP is now aligned with Congress, a party that had imprisoned Netaji during the emergency.
He said, "Netaji always opposed Congress and believed that they should never be associated with it, even through deceit. But now, SP has moved away from Netaji's principles. Mulayam Singh Yadav must be hurt by the SP leadership's actions, as his son has aligned the party with Congress and is determined to destroy it."
The CM also mentioned that some people have a tendency to stay with their past associations for life. "Babua hasn't grown up yet, and his actions do create problems for the people of Mainpuri," he said.
He said that Mulayam Singh Yadav had made Ram Manohar Lohia his role model and Lohia believed that a true socialist is someone who has no attachment to wealth or family. "However, in the SP all the important positions are controlled by one family," he said.
He also accused the SP of being anti-Ram, pointing out that they did not visit the Ram temple because they feared losing their vote bank.
Yogi urged the people of Karhal to question SP leaders on why they seek votes if they cannot respect Lord Krishna. He highlighted that the BJP fulfilled its promise to build the Ram temple and now intends to honour the sentiments of the people in Mathura and Vrindavan as well.
He questioned whether the SP supports this vision for Mathura-Vrindavan, criticising them for seeking votes without showing respect for Lord Krishna and remaining silent on the issue. In contrast, he emphasised that the BJP is actively developing pilgrimage sites such as Mathura, Gokul, Barsana, Baldev and Vrindavan, aiming to restore the spiritual essence of Mathura-Vrindavan to its former glory, as if Lord Krishna himself were still present there.
The CM said that the actions of the Nishad daughter in Ayodhya and the SP leader in Kannauj are well-known and are stains on a civilised society. He warned against letting the red cap-black deeds grow, accusing them of conspiring to bring chaos back to UP.
He pointed out that their lies were exposed during the Lok Sabha elections and asked where the promised one lakh rupees for each person had gone.
He urged the people to wipe them out in the upcoming elections. “Giving shelter to the wrong person spoils the future of future generations and ruins the present generation,” he said.
Yogi said in Khair that the results of the Haryana assembly elections show that the public desires a double-engine government. He highlighted that the state has established a university in the name of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh of Aligarh, a figure forgotten by Congress.
He said that this university would shape the future of many generations and there should be competition whether this university progresses or AMU.
The CM then raised the issue of whether AMU should remain a minority institution or be recognised as a general institution. He referred to a recent debate in the Supreme Court and questioned why AMU, which is funded by India's resources and public taxes, does not provide reservations for backward, scheduled caste, or tribal people.
He pointed out that while the Indian Constitution guarantees reservation for these groups based on the Mandal Commission, AMU offers 50 percent reservation only for Muslims.
He said when public money is invested in such institutions, all people should benefit from reservation in jobs and admissions. He criticised Congress, SP and BSP for opposing these changes, accusing them of prioritisng their vote banks over national unity and the welfare of the people.
Yogi also lashed out at the National Conference government in Jammu and Kashmir for passing a resolution calling for the reinstatement of Article 370. He reminded the audience that Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, was against Article 370, but it was included due to Jawaharlal Nehru's insistence.
He pointed out that Congress never attempted to remove this provision, but it was PM Modi who, in the national interest, abrogated Article 35A and 370. He claimed that this decision has led to significant improvements in development and security in Kashmir over the past five years, with an influx of tourists. However, he also alleged that efforts are underway to turn Kashmir back into a stronghold of terrorism.
Urging people to stay united, Yogi cautioned them against Congress' attempts to divide people. He emphasized that when people are divided, they suffer, but unity ensures safety and progress. He also condemned the insults to religious sites like the Ram temple, Lord Vishwanath's temple, and Krishna's birthplace in Mathura.
The CM also spoke of the hardships faced by mothers, sisters, and daughters in the past, warning that if people remain blinded by caste divisions and self-interest, it will lead to a future marked by destruction and division. UNI AB SSP
