Akhilesh to become chairman of UP parliamentary board of SP

Lucknow, Sep 17(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is all set to be made the chairman of the parliamentary board of the state unit of the ruling Samajwadi Party.
As per the established practice and the constitution of the party, the state president of the party holds this position. Akhilesh Yadav would be appointed to this post as part of the 'peace formula’ brokered by party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for ending the dispute in the party, party sources here today said.
The parliamentary board has a key role in the distribution of tickets for the state assembly election and other bodies like panchayat and upper house of the state legislature. In his additional responsibility as chairman of the SP Parliamentary Board, Akhilesh Yadav will have a role in the entire ticket distribution process for the 2017 state assembly elections.
