Akhilesh blames BSP for ruining UP; rules out ban on liquor sale

Bhadoi, May 25(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav blamed previous BSP government for ruin the state and ruled out, the rising demand of banning liquor sale in the state.
" It is not so easy to ban sale of liquor in the state immediately as it is linked with farmers. Molasses used for making liquor is produced from sugarcane of the farmers. If we put ban on liquor at one go then it will affect the farmers too," he said while appealing to the people not to consume liquor.
Addressing a public function after inaugurating and laying foundation of several schemes and projects in the district, Mr Yadav said the state went backward during the Mayawati regime when funds were only spent on memorials and parks."
