Akhil Kumar meets Haryana Sports Minister

New Delhi, Nov 17 (UNI) Days after meeting the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Olympian boxer Akhil Kumar today met Haryana Sports Minister Anil Vij and sought permission to turn a professional boxer.
The Commonwealth gold-medalist had earlier met the Director General of Police, Haryana Police alongwith Jitender Kumar, 2008 Olympian, seeking permission to return to the ring once again.
Akhil, who right now serves as the DSP in Haryana Police, needs to seek permission from the Haryana Police before turning towards professional boxing.
