Mumbai,Jan 22(UNI) On the occasion of the Memorial Day of Swami Ramanand Tirtha, the great freedom fighter, Marathwada, the pioneer of the Hyderabad liberation struggle, the sculptor of the concept of Maharashtra state formation, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has remembered his work and thoughts and greeted him with gratitude.
Paying homage on the occasion of Swami Ramanand Tirtha's Memorial Day, Mr Pawar said that the contribution of Swami Ramanand Tirtha in the freedom struggle of the country, Marathwada, Hyderabad liberation struggle is immense.
He successfully fought for the liberation of Marathwada and Hyderabad by uniting different language communities.
Not only did he contribute to politics, sociology, education and culture, but he also made leaders who excelled in that field.
Mr Pawar also praised Swami Ramanand Tirtha for his vision of a united Maharashtra.
After paying homage to him, saying that he will always be remembered by the people for his work in the freedom struggle and in the post-independence period,added Mr Pawar.
