Ajay finds berth in Team India for U-19 Asia Cup

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Hyderabad most celebrated all rounder Ajay Dev Goud finds a place in the India cricket team for the U-19 Asia Cup to be held at Dhaka from September 29 to October 7.

The local lad finds a berth in the team after finishing as highest wicket taker in the recently concluded U-19 ODI series held between India and Sri Lanka.



In a run up to Asia Cup, Ajay is also selected to represent India A team in U-19 Quadrangular ODI tournament against Nepal and Afghanistan schedule to be held from September 12 to 18 at Lucknow.



Noble Cricket Club in the city celebrated Ajay's selection into U-19 Indian team at Quli Qutub Shah Stadium.



Ajay Dev Goud, a former Captain was felicitated by Club Secretary Mohammed Azam Rizwan.



CCOB Cricket Association Secretary Mohammed Farooq, Cricket Club Secrtary Mahboob Ahmed and Senior Coach Ashok Goud were also felicitated on the Occasion.



Ajay's Mentor Dr. Faheem Uddin Khaja (Head Coach, Noble Cricket Club) was also being felicitated on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay shared his association with Noble Cricket Club which he led between 2013 and 2016.



Ajay is currently representing East Marredpally Cricket Club (EMCC) and being trained under his father and Coach Ashok Goud at St.Johns Sports Coaching Foundation, Marredpally.

He had earlier represented HCA State in U-14, U-16 and U-19 teams. He also represented in South Zone U-16 and U-19 teams. He also attended U-16 & U-19 Zonal and National Camps at National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore.

Ajay started his career as cricketer at the age of 10 representing Gowtham Model School, Marredpally under school Coach Ram Mohan.

He is trained under his father and Coach Ashok Goud at St.Johns Sports Coaching Foundation right from the beginning of his career.
