AIUWC to hold protest against civic bodies on Jan 21

New Delhi, Jan 13 (UNI) Steeping up its campaign to stop indiscriminate harassment and eviction of street vendors across the country, All India Unorganised Workers Congress (AIUWC) has decided to hold a nationwide protest on Jan 21 demanding complete implementation of Street Vendors Act 2014.
Accusing the incumbent Delhi government led by Aam Aadmi Party of not implementing the Street Vendors act, 2014 completely, AIUWC Chairman Arbind Singh said that the poor street vendors are suffering because of Delhi government. "Despite having a law that protects street vendors livelihood, the authorities always find ways to defeat its purpose.", he said.
Singh also appealed the vendors from other states to hold protest in their respective cities as the situation is deteriorating on daily basis.
