AITC members stage dharna in Parliament complex

New Delhi, Jul 18 (UNI) Members of Parliament belonging to the All India Trinamool Congress(AITC) today held demonstration in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the Parliament complex here, protesting against the skyrocketing prices of essential items and alleged failure of the Narendra Modi led government at the Centre in addressing people's miseries. AITC members from both the Houses of Parliament led by Sudip Bandhyopadhyay, assembled in the fore-lawns in Parliament complex, held dharna in front of the Gandhi statue and raised anti-government slogans expressing their anguish over price rise and other unresolved issues of public concern. Talking to media persons at the dharna site, Mr Bandhyopadhyay said, "price rise is a major issue of concern and we would raise the issue in Parliament as well". However, he reiterated his party's stance over the GST Bill saying, "We do support GST Bill". UNI SS AE RJ 1942
