Air traffic at Srinagar airport remains suspended due to snow, poor visibility

Srinagar, Jan 13 (UNI) Air traffic at Srinagar International Airport remained suspended for the second day on Monday due to fresh snowfall and poor visibility since early Monday morning.

An Airport official told UNI that due to poor visibility and fresh snowfall, air traffic remained suspended for the second day today. No flights could operate at the airport on Sunday.

''All incoming and outgoing flights from Srinagar airport have been suspended today,'' he said.

The visibility is very poor and there was also snowfall, he said, adding that chance of resuming air traffic is very bleak.

He said there is also a forecast for fresh snowfall during the day today in the valley, including Srinagar. Last month, air traffic at Srinagar airport was suspended due to fog and poor visibility for almost 12 days.
