Bengaluru, Sep 12 (UNI) Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa,PVSM,AVSM,YSM,VM,ADC, Chief of the Air Staff will inaugurate the 57th Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Aerospace Medicine to be held at the Institute of Aerospace Medicine, Indian Air Force here from September 14 to 16.
The Theme of this year's Conference is 'Aerospace Medicine: Field Applications', according to a release here on Wednesday.
The Conference aims to address contemporary issues and applications in Aerospace Medicine. Senior officers from the medical fraternity of Army, Navy and Air Force aircrew would participate in the Conference. Representatives from friendly foreign countries are also expected to participate.
The prestigious Subroto Mukerji Oration (named after the first Indian Chief of Air Staff) would be delivered by Air Marshal NB Amaresh (Retd) on the‘Pilot Doctor Programme’ on September 14.
On 15 Sep 18, in line with the National programme of Man in Space by 2022, the Srinagesh Oration this year on the ‘Indian Huma Space Programme- Past Present & Future’ by Air Vice Marshal Pankaj Tyagi (Retd.). This would be followed by a newly introduced JHF Manekshaw panel on emerging trends in Aerospace Medicine which will include an invited talk by Dr S Somanath, Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) on the Indian Human Space Programme.
